Hi, my old friends,
Hi, my old friends,
Ever since RelayX shutdown, then Twetch followed, I have been thinking of ways to keep BAMS alive, even tried reissuing BAMS token on BTC Ordinals/BRC20, but it would't stay true to the love of Twonks we all shared.
I have spent many sleepless nights working on BAMS, sorting through stash, posting them on discord, processing crazy orders, keeping the book updated and accurate, and burned loads of braincells trying to figure out new and fun mechanisms to keep the game fun and exciting for every BAMS holders to play, we did WABH, AOBH, Achievement badges, Voting Badges...
In the end, I can't say I wasn't burnt out trying to maintain such a overly complicate system of my own doing that almost become a fulltime, even overtime job.
But all that depends on the almost cost free transactions and open functional RUN token/NFT system RelayX used to operate on, we had orderbook trading, later a swap pool trading of tokens to keep BAMS running like an economy, without it, BAMS wouldn't had the potential to become more than a simple GameStop like store credit system.
So right now, we are running BAMS lite, you trade in Twonks at an agreed upon price list, you get BAMS as store balance, that's updated through discord, and recorded on the spreadsheet, you can use the balance to rent or buy twonks from guild stash that's regularly posted on discord at a set price. Rental costs will become credits that can only be used to buy twonks when the rental is concluded. The more BAMS you spend, the cheaper it is to redeem twonks at accumulative discounted prices. You can still upvote or downvote a collection to determine it's trade in tiers, your vote will be counted based on your BAMS balance.
And that's it, nothing more, nothing less.
I'm very grateful to the @0 Twetch team to bring the platform we all loved and enjoyed back, and I'm very excited for it's future and to see how our twonks will perform after some much needed aging process for any fine art like we had.
Let's get twonking!
