Proposal: Treechat Community YouTube Channel

Proposal: Treechat Community YouTube Channel I would like to propose a simple experiment for Treechat. The idea is to create one shared YouTube channel for Treechat creators. Instead of every creator trying to build a separate YouTube audience, invited members could contribute selected videos to one community channel. Everyone would promote the same channel, so subscribers, watch time and views build in one place. The main purpose is not YouTube revenue. The main purpose is to use YouTube’s audience to bring more people to Treechat. Every video would clearly identify the creator and include a link back to their Treechat post, channel or discussion. The idea is simple: Treechat creators ↓ Shared YouTube channel ↓ More viewers ↓ More people discover Treechat ↓ More users, creators and activity Compete for views. Cooperate for reach. Why a Shared Channel Makes Sense YouTube currently allows creators in eligible countries to enter its expanded Partner Program at 500 subscribers, 3 public uploads in 90 days, and either 3,000 qualified watch hours in the previous 12 months or 3 million Shorts views in 90 days. Full ad and YouTube Premium revenue sharing requires the higher threshold of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 qualified watch hours, or the Shorts equivalent. Google Help Those numbers are much easier to reach as a group than individually. If ten or twenty Treechat creators all build separate YouTube channels, each person has to find their own subscribers and accumulate their own watch time. If those same creators contribute to one channel, every subscriber and every hour watched helps build the same account. A subscriber gained through one creator's video may later watch somebody else's video. So we cooperate to reach the audience and monetization thresholds faster, while each creator still benefits from the exposure their own content receives. Videos Do Not Have to Be Exclusive Creators should not have to give up their own channels or make their work exclusive to the community channel. A video could already exist on Treechat, on the creator's own website, or elsewhere. The community YouTube channel is simply another distribution outlet. Creators remain free to publish and promote their work wherever they choose. The shared channel exists to give Treechat content a stronger presence on YouTube and to create another route for viewers to discover Treechat. Community Ownership The channel should not effectively belong to one person. A dedicated BsvBsv.com community wallet could be created for the project using multisig, with several trusted members as co-signers. The wallet email could be used as the community email address for the project. This gives the project a shared identity and avoids putting control in the hands of one individual. How Members Post Posting should be easy. Members should not need to learn YouTube Studio or manage the channel themselves. They simply email their video to the community email address in a simple format: TITLE: My video title

TREECHAT: Link to my Treechat post

DESCRIPTION: Short description

VIDEO: Attached video

THUMBNAIL: Attached image The creator's job is simply: Create → Submit → Promote The Auto Responder Does the Work The Auto Responder receives the email and handles the publishing process. Member sends email ↓ Auto Responder checks sender ↓ Reads title, description and attachments ↓ Prepares the YouTube post ↓ Publishes or queues it ↓ Sends the YouTube link back to the creator The Auto Responder can also add the standard Treechat links, creator details, hashtags and promotional text automatically. Invitation Only at First The project should begin with a small group of invited Treechat members. The purpose of the first stage is simply to get the system working properly. We can test the complete process: submission ↓ publishing ↓ promotion ↓ views ↓ revenue Once everything is working smoothly, more members can be invited. There is no need to solve every possible problem before starting. We can build the system through real use with a small group first. Bringing Viewers Back to Treechat Every YouTube video should clearly direct viewers back to Treechat. For example: Created by [Creator Name] on Treechat Join the discussion and follow the creator on Treechat: [link] YouTube is the discovery platform. Treechat is the destination. A successful YouTube video should not only produce YouTube views. It should bring new people into Treechat. Each creator who promotes their own video is also promoting Treechat. And when another member promotes the shared channel, that promotion may expose viewers to everybody else's content. That is where the cooperative effect becomes powerful. Revenue If the shared YouTube channel earns revenue, the participating members can agree together how that revenue should be used. It does not need to be locked into one fixed formula from the beginning. Revenue could be used to reward creators, cover costs, promote successful videos, advertise Treechat, fund competitions or creator incentives, build useful community tools, or simply be retained for future growth. Part of the revenue could be distributed to creators and part could be used to promote Treechat itself. For example: YouTube revenue ↓ Agreed community use ↓ Creator rewards + Treechat promotion ↓ More viewers ↓ More Treechat users ↓ More content ↓ More YouTube activity The important point is that the group decides together how the revenue is used. The revenue is useful, but it is not the main reason for the project. The main objective is to grow Treechat. The Roles Treechat creates. YouTube distributes. BsvBsv coordinates and accounts. In One Sentence Create one community YouTube channel where invited Treechat members email in their videos, the Auto Responder publishes them automatically, everyone promotes the same channel, we reach YouTube's audience and monetization thresholds faster together, videos remain non-exclusive, any revenue is used or shared in a way agreed by the members, and every video is designed to bring new people back to Treechat.
