Almost nobody talks about this old Polish tradition… 🌽

This is a piece of traditional knowledge I learned from an elderly man in Podlasie, Poland - a region where old Slavic traditions, folk healers, and knowledge of medicinal plants have survived for generations.

Look closely at the picture.

🌽 On the left: female corn flowers - the part commonly found and traditionally used to support the urinary system.

🌽 On the right: male corn flowers - a completely different part of the plant, traditionally used in folk medicine.

The knowledge I was given says that an infusion made from the male flowers was traditionally used by people dealing with kidney stones.

The traditional explanation is fascinating: compounds in the infusion are believed to help form a layer of mucus around the stone, potentially making it softer and easier to pass.

And this isn't just something I heard about.

I tried it myself.

I drank around 2-3 cups a day for two weeks. First, I passed one kidney stone. About a week later, another one followed. They were roughly the size of baby teeth, and for me, the process was surprisingly painless.

I'm not saying this is a miracle cure or a replacement for medical treatment. I'm sharing a piece of traditional knowledge and my own personal experience.

Maybe there's nothing to it.

Or maybe some of the old plant knowledge that has been passed down for generations deserves much more scientific attention than it gets.

Either way, this is a tradition worth remembering.
