"My forecast is that Chinese enterprises will eventually use BSV as common infrastructure, with controlled applications operating above it. I think of TCP/IP, the protocols that connect internet hosts: businesses share the underlying transport while setting their own service rules. BSV would provide a shared transaction ledger in this analogy. TCP/IP moves packets; BSV would record the transactions through which services exchange value and evidence. An operator could require credentials before admitting transactions to its application and restrict access to confidential business data. BSV application overlays already define admission rules for selected transactions and outputs. BSV nodes would validate the underlying transactions under the network’s rules. Control over an application’s membership would sit with its operator; control over the base ledger would remain a separate matter. There are things we do not know. The filings leave commercial agreements and eventual network choices to be established through other evidence. Chinese operators can also build similar functions on other ledgers. My conviction concerns BSV’s opportunity to become the shared foundation for these services. I would revise that conviction if operating deployments consistently chose other infrastructure or failed to generate recurring business use. What a BSV investor can measure A patent identifies a disclosed technical design and its applicant. An operating service adds evidence about the network selected, the transactions generated and the party paying for them. Investors can measure the commercial link to BSV when they can connect those observations to a named workflow. For a licensing service, the useful unit is an exercised right. An operator can identify which transaction records issuance, which records use and whether repeated uses generate additional transactions. A service that batches events may generate a different fee profile from one recording every event separately. Investors need that mapping before translating business activity into a network-usage estimate.
A storage or verification provider may charge customers outside the blockchain transaction itself. Investors should distinguish those service receipts from fees paid to miners and from the native coins held temporarily to fund transactions. Each revenue stream reaches a different participant. An applicant building the disclosed workflow on another ledger supplies evidence about demand for that function. An operator settling identifiable, repeated business actions on BSV supplies evidence about BSV usage. A licensing service with attributable use transactions and documented payments would let an investor connect the engineering mechanism to an observable business." https://kryptokrates.substack.com/p/what-chinas-patent-landscape-is-telling?r=2b0sbr&utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web Source note
