First post mentioning Eldersafe was back in Aug 31, 25.

It was percolating as an idea, with some ambition to make it happen, but without any real sense of how.

I am a non-techie, hard to work with, Dunning-Kruger constantly getting in the way and highly reluctant to even post this, but I tend to pick at blindspots like scaps until it bleeds.

BSV been my only blockchain interest, wouldnt touch anything else. Again, probably my biggest blindspot seen from the outside, but if this doesnt work, nothing will. Only blockchain where the key people discouraged you from getting involved. Only pains will find you going down this route. And yet, the only one that truly makes sense. If you can solve the little things, the big things are guaranteed.

Been trying for many years to find the way in. Looking for ways to build some form of business built on and for BSV. Micro transactions, an alternative payment rail, something simple, easy to understand and with a proven utility. Paymail made my heart sing, moneybutton.com especially.

Anyhow. Back to Eldersafe. Been in a support position for a cybersecurity company for some years and seen the slow degradation of some of the most simple value exchanges. Today, the willingness and ability to pay is no longer guaranteed to render you results. The middleman is getting increasingly complicated to satisfy. It is no longer enough to have money in the account and the willingness to depart from the assets, now you almost need to provide a urine sample, biometrics, birth certificate to send payment to another physical or legal entity.

Many blame COVID, but the deterioration happened 20 years ago. When you could go to the post office and they no longer sold you stamps or went to the bank and could no longer deposit or extract money without some form of hoop to jump through.

So initially the idea was to get elderly to have an alternative to pay for the cybersecurity solution and get proper localised service (most services are nowadays only in major languages, not Nordics any more) included in the purchase price. If you couldnt buy directly from the cybersecurity firm, due to Strong Customer Authentication and similar issues, you would be able to buy some BSV and pay for a specialised service that would solve the main headaches. Maybe a bit naive. Downloading Rockwallet and fill up some BSV with normal card payment is hard enough, for elderly, almost impossible, but in my mind still doable.

I tried to introduce the idea of creating a special package for the elderly in collaboration with the Danish elderly organisation Ældre Sagen. A unique special interest organisation in Denmark, consisting of 900,000 members aged 65 and up. In my world the perfect target group, for business people not a very attractive group for some weird reason, target the young and hip, aim for the future. For me having such a specific niche with such volume should be attractive for any sane person. Seems to "Does Not Compute" for the bean counters and marketing geniuses.

That was the initial thinking. Today I wouldnt want anyone else involved, wouldnt and couldnt trust any service offered by companies that obviously couldnt give a damn to cater to a hard, but loyal target group.
